The home team is 11-4 and just wrapped up the Pacific Division and #2 seed in the west. They beat LA last week 75-34 behind quarterback Nathan Stanley. Backup QB Dennis Havrilla even saw some action and should see some minutes this week. This will be San Jose's last home game before the Sabercats finish with two road games.
Tampa Bay is 8-7 and in a battle with Orlando to win the Southern Division. Tampa Bay was off last week and only lost 48-41 at Cleveland two weeks ago. They are led by quarterback Randy Hippeard with receivers Joe Hills, Jackson and TT Toliver.
San Jose does have one of the best defenses in the league but the Tampa Bay Storm are 5-1 in their last 6 and off a bye. It does concern me that the underdogs have to travel all the way across country. I think San Jose wins but Tampa Bay stays within 17 points on Friday night.
